Shaycee began her life in the sunny climate south of Willcox at her family's ranch. She was raised on horseback, assisting with branding and gathering cattle. She has always enjoyed performing, so she began tapping her feet at the local dance studio at the age of 2 and started competing in various dance contests throughout the state until she turned 13 when she chose to leave the bright stage lights and discover her role on the volleyball court. Shaycee spent several years cheering until her passion for sleek ponytails and warm, lengthy Saturdays faded. Shaycee, as a 4-H and FFA member, has been exhibiting steers and small stock and has earned several Grand Champion steers at our local fair. At the age of 5, she began participating in Junior rodeos where she has excelled and loves to compete in multiple events. Her passion for rodeo continued when she later became Benson Butterfield Sweetheart. After being crowned Rex Allen Days Rodeo Sweetheart in 2022, Shaycee discovered her calling and found the rodeo queen stage home. She has enjoyed representing local GCPRA Rodeos as sweetheart, princess and queen and now hopes to find her place on the Arizona stage.
