Howdy y’all!
My name is Shai Forman and I am delighted to be the 2019-2021 Miss Teen Rodeo Arizona. For
the past 15 years, I have called the beautiful town of Prescott home. I am a freshman at the
University of Arizona in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with career goals to
become a veterinarian. I am an avid barrel racer and pole bender. Some of my favorite things to
do when I am not having the time of my life at rodeos and likewise events, include baking, art
projects, and most importantly being with my cat Nugget and my loving friends and family. I
also have two horses at home, Charlie my rodeo queen horse, and Star my barrel racing horse.
Becoming a state queen has been my dream for as long as I can remember! I vividly recall being
at a rodeo when I was a lot younger, and seeing this beautiful, graceful, and kind rodeo queen in
the arena representing her state- Arizona. That is a moment of my life that will always be a vivid
image in my head. I knew that this was who I wanted to become and what I wanted to achieve in
my life. Now I get to represent the sport of rodeo and be a role model for future queens all while
doing the things I love!
My path to becoming Miss Teen Rodeo Arizona would not have been possible without my
supportive family and friends. This experience upon being crowned Miss Teen Rodeo Arizona
was something so surreal that words cannot begin to describe. August 17, 2019, was filled with so
much surprise, happiness, and gratitude. The most memorable part of all was winning
horsemanship because my role model, a former Miss Turquoise Circuit and former Miss Rodeo
New Mexico, told me at a young age, “There is a reason why rodeo comes before queen.” That is
a motto I have chosen to live by.
These experiences and achievements that I am blessed to have, and will continue to have, truly
have shown me that in life, it is not about the destination, but instead the hard work and the noble
journey in which it took to get here. I am humbled to experience it and fulfil my duty as Miss
Teen Rodeo Arizona.
With this title, I want to inspire young girls to go after their dreams and conquer every obstacle.
It sounds cliché to say that, but, the way that I have been captivated and inspired by other rodeo
queens, have given me this extra type of drive and encouragement to continue to work my way
up towards my end goal of becoming Miss Rodeo America. As Miss Teen Rodeo Arizona, I am
beyond excited to be traveling the Grand Canyon State, attending rodeos, making appearances,
and adding to my rodeo family along the way!
I cannot wait to meet you at the next rodeo!
Happy Trails!
